Vanishing frogs and toads are a subject I choose to use to investigate our endangered species and our planet. Frogs and toads are disappearing all over the world at alarming rates. Current researchers have given many possible explanations for their disappearances; and yet, there are many mysteries involved in the extinction of certain species. For example, the Golden Toad of Monte Verde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica entirely disappeared in 1987 and yet a very similar species thrives nearby. The mystery is much of what I am drawn to.
