Site-specific environmental sculptures, installations and photographic works

 

I have executed nearly forty public art commissions all over the U.S., such as Green Acres (1986, Dept. of Environmental Protection, Trenton, NJ), and some specific-ally ecological projects, such as Eco-Rhythms (1997, Dept. of Ecology, Univ. of MN), The Meat Industry (1992, temporary installation), and The Human Body as an Ecosystem (1996, CD-ROM).

All my art is nature-oriented and particularly inspired by water and land formations, or biological rhythms. See book: Dancing in the Land-scape: The Sculpture of Athena Tacha (2000).
