My work engages a design process that responds to the qualities of
a site, fusing aesthetics, science and necessity. |
Public Works Completed include:
Fingerspan Bridge,
1981-87, a steel enclosed bridge connecting two cliffs separated by a
chasm. Shaped like a bent finger, this is a practical and symbolic reach
The San Antonio Convention
Center Project, 1995, a collaboration with Kell/Munoz/Wigodsky Architects
to develop an overall design of the Center which incorporates the Riverwalk.
Papago
Park/City Boundary, 1992, an award winning 2 acre site which
brings into alignment the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, the
Casa Grande ruins and Squaw Peak creating a symbolic and functional
construct of alignment and regeneration. Collaboration with Steve Martino,
landscape architect.
Works In Progress include:
Pasadena City
Coilege Sculpture Garden,
commissioned by the college whicn incorporates night lighting to outline
the Garden's forms and path system revealing a galaxy framed by surrounding
building
A colIaboration with Tom
Balsley & Associates and Lee Weintraub Landscape Architects on the
restoration of Riverside Drive Park in New York City, commissioned
by Riverside South Corp. and Trump New World.
