I AM SEEKING: Funding to produce more artist's books on the environment.
ARTWORK: ARTIST'S BOOKS, POSTERS & PAINTINGS ADDRESS ECOLOGICAL DILEMMAS AND PROMOTE A RETURN TO A LOVE OF NATURE.

For the past several years I have been committed to making art with completely non-toxic materials. I have developed a landscape/abstract pat painting i process using only natural ingredients. I collect my own pigments from the earth. With "dirt" as raw material, I grind this earth by hand and mix it with a tree- based medium to make paint. The colors are entirely organic - local color from beneath our feet! - and extremely varied, rich and subtle. These paintings on paper are unique and ecologically hip!

An ancient technique renewed in a modern form of art. n gratitude to the generous beauty of our wild mother earth

I teach an outdoor workshop on Art, Nature, Consciousness and the Environment— an experiential class using the creative process to deepen our connection to nature.

I am working on a series of mixed media paintings created outside under open skies in wild places. My work is inspired by wilderness, blending the visual worlds of abstraction and realism. Through art, I am eager to help people reconnect to the heart of nature, to the energy that flows through all things, and to develop a more respectful understanding of our place in the ecosystem. Two artist's books, "What have we done to the Earth?" and, "Have we lost contact with the natural world?", address specific environmental concerns through word and image.
